How did Prophet Muhammad treat his enemies
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) came to earth as the greatest human being of all time. Every act of his life is to be imitated and followed by mankind. He treated everyone fairly irrespective of race, religion, caste, enemy, ally. He did not treat the enemy unjustly. Rather treated them well.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) was never vindictive towards his enemies. He would not attack them for no reason and would not take up arms against them unless he was absolutely helpless. Before taking up arms, he urged them to come to the right path, that is, to accept his offer. If the enemy refused to accept his offer, he would openly declare war on them. On the battlefield, he disciplined his troops and warned his troops not to treat the enemy unfairly. For example, he forbade attacking sick people, women and children, wielding swords at prisoners of war, killing them and wreaking havoc in conquered territories.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) had two types of enemies. Open and secret enemies. Among the open enemies were the infidels of Makkah, who began to oppose the Prophet (peace be upon him) when he started preaching Islam after receiving his prophethood. Among the hidden enemies were the Munafeks, the Jews, and the Christians. In the life of Makkah, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) endured the public opposition, humiliation and persecution of the disbelievers. He never took up arms against them, never spoke loudly in anger with them. Rather have treated them well. When the Prophet (peace be upon him) migrated from Mecca to Medina in 622 AD, the people of Medina welcomed him and elected him President or Leader of the Republic of Medina. At that time, the Jews and Christians living in Medina expressed their loyalty to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and accepted his leadership. But the Jews and Christians later secretly opposed the Prophet (peace be upon him), especially the Jews conspired against the Prophet (peace be upon him) by secretly communicating with the infidels of Makkah. Although their conspiracy was exposed at one time, the Prophet (peace be upon him) did not treat them harshly. Has justly punished them.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) waged a total of 26 battles against his enemies during his lifetime. He directly participated in 9 of them. Most of the wars were against the infidels. From the history of these battles one can learn about his attitude and behavior towards the enemy. The first battle of the Prophet's life was the Battle of Badr, which was waged against the infidels of Makkah. As the influence and prestige of the Prophet (peace be upon him) increased in Medina, the disbelievers of Makkah set out to attack Medina in order to wipe out him and the religion he preached. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) did not see any other way, he advanced with only 313 troops to resist them, a battle took place between them at a place called Badr, which is known in history as the Battle of Badr. In this war, the Prophet (peace be upon him) has set a unique example of patience, discipline and humanity. When confronted by infidels, he first called on his enemies to accept Islam and show allegiance to the one God. When the disbelievers rejected it, he first called for their wrestling in accordance with the Arab custom of warfare. When Utbah, Shaybah and Walid advanced on behalf of the disbelievers, the heroic Keshari Hamza, Ali and Abu Ubaydah approached the enemies from the front on the orders of the Prophet (peace be upon him). When the infidels were defeated in the first phase, their heroic commander Abu Jahl launched a surprise attack on the Muslims. The result was a skirmish on both sides. The Muslims were victorious in the war. In this battle 70 Quraish including Abu Jahl were killed and 80 were taken prisoner. On the other hand, 14 Muslims were martyred. The generosity and sweetness of the Prophet (peace be upon him) towards the prisoners is rare in the history of the world. Only two serious criminals were sentenced to death, all others were treated generously. Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) released the Quraish prisoners on ransom without keeping them captive indefinitely. A ransom of only four thousand dirhams was fixed. And those who were unable to pay the ransom, then he released them unconditionally. Such generosity and generosity towards the absolute enemy has set a unique example in the history of the world.
When the tribe of Banu Nazir betrayed the Jews during the battle of Uhud, the Prophet (peace be upon him) expelled them from Medina without taking up arms against them in anger. When the Allied forces of the infidels were defeated in the battle of Khandaq, he took punitive action against the Banu Qurayza tribe. This time he did not take the responsibility of judging them into his own hands but entrusted it to their leader Saad Ibn Mu'adh. According to the Jewish scriptures, Saad ruled to kill the men of the Banu Quraiza tribe, to use their wives, sons and daughters as slaves, and to confiscate their property. Despite having the power to judge and punish in his own hands, he has shown great generosity and generosity by entrusting the task of judging to his own leader. After the conquest of Mecca, he unconditionally forgave his worst enemies without causing any bloodshed. There is no other example of such forgiveness in the history of the world. The fact that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was the greatest human being in the world and that he appeared as a mercy for all mankind is more evident in his behavior towards his enemies.
